Be Careful What You Wish For

Lilly Faye: Frank, how would you like to take me shopping? I want to buy some pretty flowers for my yard.

Mr. Frank: I can't, Doll. Sorry. My chili cart is keeping me too busy.

Lilly Faye: Chili cart?

Mr. Frank: Remember when my fans Mattie and Zoe came to visit me, and sampled my famous chili?

Lilly Faye: Mattie and Zoe, the French Bulldog sisters? Grrrr...I remember.

Mr. Frank: They raved about my chili on Dogspace and Woofer. Now I can hardly keep up with the demand! I set up a cart downtown, and I'm doing a brisk business selling my chili to the lunch crowd.

Lilly Faye: Don't people want something a bit lighter now that the weather is warming up?

Dizzie: Actually, Boss, the hot spices in Mexican food make you sweat, which cools down the body.

Lilly Faye: You're not helping, Diz.

Mr. Frank: Mattie and Zoe said...

Lilly Faye: Mattie and Zoe don't know everything!

Mr. Frank: Gosh, Doll, I didn't realize this would upset you so much. I guess I could quit if you want me to.

Lilly Faye: Then you would have time to take me shopping!

Mr. Frank: True. I was only selling chili to earn enough money to take you to the Spring Fling. But if you don't want to go, I'm fine with that.

Dizzie: He's got you there, Boss.

Lilly Faye: Aaaggghhh!

  1. Are you going to wear your pearls to the Spring Fling?

I prefer the ruggedly-masculine, natural look for myself. (There was an unfortunate incident about wearing boots in winter. After that, Barb didn't bring up the subject of clothes for me again.)

    1. Welcome back, Echo! With beautiful coloring like yours, you don't really need any adornment.

I live in my pearls. They make me feel pretty and dressed up. I have three pearl necklaces. The fanciest one was a Christmas gift from Frank, so I wear that one when I'm out with him.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  2. Makes me wish I were a dog - or had one. Oh, yeah, I'd better be careful with my wishes, huh, Lilly?

    1. Hi Jen,
If you have the room in your heart and home, you can't go wrong adopting a rescue dog like me! Thanks for stopping by!

I'd love to hear from you. Leave me a woof!
